Liam Payne Has Confirmed That He And Girlfriend Maya Henry Are Engaged After Two Years Of Dating.
A rep for Liam has since confirmed to HuffPost UK that he and the 20-year-old US model are engaged.
The One Direction star has been in a relationship with the US model for two years. Rumours had begun circulating that the former One Direction star was set to marry after he and Maya were photographed on a night out in London, where she was seen sporting a ring on her engagement finger.
According to The Sun, Liam and Maya have been an item for around two years, but went public with their romance in August 2019.
In an interview with Roman Kemp shortly afterwards about the decision to speak openly about the relationship, Liam explained: “I’m just past the point of where I’m bothered or not.
“It’s not worth my happiness; I’d just rather go out and do what I want. I’ve got nothing to hide.”
The 26-year-old singer was previously in a relationship with fellow British star Cheryl Tweedy, with whom he shares a three-year-old son.
Liam and Cheryl split in 2018, but have since spoken highly of one another in the press.
Earlier this month, Liam marked an important anniversary as One Direction fans celebrated 10 years since the band were put together on The X Factor.
In honour of the occasion, Liam revealed the text message he sent to his dad after being invited to join the band, who went on to achieve huge global.
