American singer and songwriter Ne-Yo is working on a new album, and to get the fans ready he has shared a behind-the-scenes look at a recent recording session he had with fellow R&B singer/songwriter Eric Bellinger.
Taking to his Instagram on Wednesday night, Ne-Yo posted a one-minute clip with the caption: “The process…. Much love to my dude @ericbellinger Thanx for adding to the sauce boi boi!! This album is going to be special. I promise. 💀❤️🎼 🔥🔥🔥 PATIENCE. IT’S COMING.”
For the first time in his career, the “Sexy Love” singer is working with a handful of other songwriters to enhance the process and give him a fresh take. Speaking about his decision to do so, Ne-Yo explained: “It’s not that I can’t do it myself, I can definitely do it myself, but this time I decided to bring in some folks to expand on what I already had … That’s what its about, it’s about expanding it’s about evolution, while at the same time staying true to who you are.”
Ne-Yo and Eric Bellinger have been building their working relationship more recently, but Eric is credited for penning the title song “Think Like A Man” which Ne-Yo sang along with Jennifer Hudson, for the soundtrack to the 2012 comedy Think Like A Man.
Hours after his Snapchat rant that saw him fire his manager of many years, Kamal Ajiboye and call out Sony Music, HKN star, Davido has taken back his words and has employed a new manager.
Davido has appointed Ayo George as his new manager.
The singer’s outburst was obvious that something went wrong between the himself and his manager which he didn’t disclose other than saying he would be his own manager. Less than 24hrs later he has taken a U-turn already in what many believe is a good move if he wants to make any impact in the Nigeria music scene as he suggested in his Snapchat rant

Bryson Tiller teased fans about his next album, and now he has officially revealed the title.
“im working on this album called True to Self, non-stop until it’s finished. then it’s yours,” he tweeted Tuesday night (Jan. 17).
Pen Griffey also released the new song “Let Me Explain” in October, which may land on the forthcoming effort.
Last year, Tiller’s debut album TRAPSOUL was certified platinum, and he capped off 2016 with a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Song for his hit single “Exchange.”
In addition to readying True to Self, Tiller has been in the lab with Drake cooking up a collaboration for the latter’s More Life project. On February 24, he will join The Weeknd as a supporting act on the European leg of the “Starboy: Legend of the Fall Tour.”
Davido, has announced that he is starting off the year 2017 without his long time manager, Kamal Ajiboye.
The singer, who snagged a Sony deal, early last year took to snapchat to vent saying he was no longer interested in conquering the international market, later adding that he is no longer being managed by, Kamal Ajiboye.
Tekno is in New York City to seal his Sony Music deal. The amount of money thrown into the deal by Sony Music is said to be $4M.
The amount is reportedly bigger than what was offered to Davido about exactly one year ago by the same Sony Music.
Tekno, Ubi Franlklin & Tripple MG partner PauloO who recently bought part of the shares from the label posted a video about the their deal with Sony Music which got them 4 Million dollars equivalent to 1.6 Billion Naira if converted to naira (400 Naira to a dollar).
Nigerian Celebrities know that one statement that doesn’t sit well with the public will get you in a cocnundrum of bashing. It doesn’t matter how much they like you, or you think they like you. That’s the hard lesson Mr Eazi is learning today.
Earlier in the evening, Mr Eazi made a statement about Ghanaian influence on Nigerian music, and that didn’t sit well with Nigerians. He said “Ghana’s influence on present day “Naija Sound” cannot be over emphasized!!!”. That’s all it took.
There’s influence across different countries in Africa when it comes to music, and even across the world. Maybe his wording could’ve been a bit different. But you suspect it wouldn’t have mattered.

Nigerian and African music continues to cross the African borders musically as Olamide’s album ‘The Glory’ debuts on Billboard world albums chart.
The ‘PepperDem’ crooner is the third Nigerian artiste to hit the Billboard within the past one week. Olamide joins fellow colleagues Runtown and Wizkid who made appearances on the Billboard Twitter Top Tracks with their respective singles ‘Mad Over You’ and ‘Daddy Yo’.
Olamide’s sixth studio album “The Glory” debuts at number six spot for the first week of 2017 on the Billboard World Album Charts.
Currently, he has dropped to number 14 on the chart in the second week of January 2017.
‘The Glory’ album is Olamide’s sixth consecutive album release since 2012. The album is a good material with Afro hip-hop tunes consisting of 17 tracks.
