Beyonce Has Reunited With Destiny’s Child Bandmate Kelly Rowland For New Video.

Blue Ivy Carter, Beyonce’s eight-year-old daughter, also features on the track, from the new visual album Black Is King.

Beyonce has released a star-studded video for her track Brown Skin Girl, featuring cameos from supermodel Naomi Campbell, Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong’o – and Destiny’s Child bandmate Kelly Rowland.

The star’s eight-year-old daughter Blue Ivy Carter also features on the 2019 track, from her recently released visual album Black Is King.

In a statement released to Good Morning America, Beyonce said it was important to her to represent “all different shades of brown” in the six-minute film.

“We wanted every character to be shot in a regal light – Jenn Nkiru came up with the black debutantes,” Beyonce said in her statement.

“It was important that we are all in this together and we’re all celebrating each other.”

Campbell, Nyong’o and Rowland – who recently opened up about the difficulties of being compared to her superstar former bandmate – are name-checked in the lyrics, and the song also features WizKid and Saint Jhn.

“Pose like a trophy when they Naomi walking/ She need an Oscar for that pretty dark skin,” Beyonce sings.

“Pretty like Lupita when the cameras close in/ Drip broke the levee when my Kelly’s Rowland.”

Black Is King, which was released on Disney + in July, is based on the music from The Lion King: the Gift – the soundtrack to the 2019 remake of Disney’s 1994 animated classic.

It is Beyonce’s third visual album, following Beyonce in 2013 and Lemonade in 2016.

The 38-year-old mother-of-three, who is married to rapper Jay-Z, formed Destiny’s Child with Rowland in the 1990s, with Michelle Williams replacing LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett to form the group’s best-known line-up.

After numerous hits including Say My Name, Survivor and Bootylicious, the band called it a day in 2006, but reunited on stage during Beyonce’s set at Coachella in 2018.
