Lorde Covers ‘Love Lockdown’ & ‘Runaway’ By Kanye West at Chicago Show

Singer Lorde adds Kanye West’s Love Lockdown and Runaway to her list of songs covered during her most recent tour.

When Lorde’s Melodrama Tour stopped by Chi-Town Tuesday night (March 27), she felt it was important to shout-out its hometown boy with not one, but two Kanye covers during her 18-song set. Starting with an a cappella version of “Love Lockdown” just over halfway through her set, Lorde continued the Yeezy love with a little snippet of “Runaway,” which she cleverly mashed up with her ballad “Liability.”

“It must be nice to come from the same place as Kanye West,” the singer told the crowd, according to one fan’s tweet.
