With albums like The Return of East Atlanta Santa, Woptober and Everybody Looking, Gucci Mane is ready to release another set in 2017.
On Tuesday (Jan. 24), the Atlanta rapper announced the name of his forthcoming LP on Twitter. “My new album is going to be called DropTopWizop #DropTopWizop”, he tweeted. While Gucci didn’t provide an exact release date, he teased that the offering would be “coming soon.”
May 26th will mark the one-year anniversary since Gucci Mane’s release from prison. To celebrate the occasion, the Atlanta rapper will be releasing his new album Drop Top Wop on Friday.
Last year, Gucci earned his first Hot 100 No. 1 record when he served as a featured guest on Rae Sremmurd’s “Black Beatles.” After being released from jail in last May, Gucci’s first post-prison album, Everybody Looking, secured him his first No. 1 album on the R&B and Hip Hop chart.
Guwop took to Instagram to share the newly named Drop Top Wop album artwork, tracklist, and official release date: this Friday, May 26th. The date holds significance for Gucci, as it marks the one year anniversary of his release from prison.
The project is produced in its entirety by Metro Boomin’, with features from Offset, Rick Ross, 2 Chainz & Young Dolph. Check out the artwork and tracklist below, featuring Gucci’s steady and legible handwriting:
