Kid X from Jozi came to the Red Bull Studios two weeks ago to work on a new project. After releasing his “3 Quarter Pace” mixtape last year, he is back in studio working on a new album. Taking the opportunity to release a new music video, he enlisted Jonathan Ferreira to put the video treatment together.
On the track, a smooth bass and soft keys are layered over punchy kicks, creating a laid-back atmosphere, which Kid X mirrors in his self-reflecting rhymes. The video also reflects this atmosphere, with long shots and a slowed down pace highlighting the moodiness and grit of the composition.
