And Eddie Izzard revealed she’s damaged her feet and legs in the process as she embarked on her 21st run for charity.

She’s currently on a mission to complete 31 marathons in 31 days on a treadmill as part of her ‘Make Humanity Great Again’ campaign.

In a clip shared to Instagram, the stand-up comedian, 58, declared she ‘just has to keep hanging on’ as she prepared to power through her run.

The media personality updated her social media followers during her car journey as she said: ‘Day 21, in the bubble of the car, there’s a difference between home bubbles and car bubbles.

‘I’m knackered, getting on alright. Joe Biden became the President and Kamala Harris the Vice President… well done United States.

‘My feet and legs… you just have to keep hanging on, but you’ll get there. Today we are celebrating Stockholm so I’ll see you out there on the run, take care everyone. Thanks for supporting.’ (sic)

The first five charities to benefit from her initiative are Fareshare, Walking With the Wounded, Care International, United to Combat Neglected Tropical Diseases and Covenant House New York City.

Earlier this month, the activist revealed she has known she is transgender from the age of around four.

Preferring to go by the pronouns, ‘she’ and ‘her’, the media personality said the notion that she ‘recently came out is ridiculous’ and notes she’s ‘been through hell since 1985.’

Talking to The Big Issue, Eddie said her gender-fluidity has been a big feature of her 40-year career in comedy.

In December, the TV star appeared on the Sky Arts programme Portrait Artist of the Year and shared she wanted ‘to be based in girl-mode from now on.’

Eddie admitted she couldn’t believe some were surprised by her words because she has felt this way since childhood.

The actress said: ‘I’ve known I was trans since I was four or five. My feelings from the age of five have not moved an inch. Have not moved a centimetre, a millimetre even.

‘Thirty-five years ago, I came out. The rest is language. I went through such hell since ’85 that the idea that I’ve come out recently just sounds ridiculous.’
