Koeman’s Alternatives To Replace Ansu Fati

Koeman has some alternatives to replace Ansu Fati with, while he recovers.

Ansu Fati is out until January at the earliest. He has become a key member of Ronald Koeman’s squad, so who will replace him?

What will they do with Ansu Fati now? Despite being one of the youngest members of the squad, he has become one of the most important players. Now he is out for four months, Ronald Koeman has a problem to solve.

Most of the options have one thing in common: youth. Pedri has played in the Champions League and La Liga already and shown that he isn’t fazed by the pressure, which is key when representing the Azulgrana.

Trincao is also on the table. He is versatile and could help Koeman in that sense. He hasn’t made a firm stake for a place in the first team so far but now could be the moment for the number ’22’.

Dembélé could also be an interesting option, but he would have to switch sides. He has had his ups and downs but would provide proven quality.

The last young gun could be Konrad de la Fuente. He has the least experience of anyone, but it is common knowledge that Koeman is looking towards La Masia for talent more and more. He is said to have caught the head coach’s eye already.

Griezman could of course step up to the mark with another position change. He isn’t on great form but has proven himself in the past as one of the best attacking players around.

Coutinho is another established player who could step in and help out. The main problem as far as he’s concerned is moving him out wide again, after he has finally been finding his feet in the middle of the park.

And finally, Braithwaite. He has always shown that he wants to play since moving to the Camp Nou, but he is yet to be counted on regularly at Barca. He could yet surprise everyone and make this his big break.
