The deadline to achieve Italian nationality has made Luis Suárez back out, who has ruled out Juventus, at least for now.
The Uruguayan could miss the first stage of the Champions League if he signs for Juventus.
‘RAC1’ inform that Luis Suárez has distanced himself in the last few hours from signing for Juventus.
The last few details of his contract were expected to be completed soon, but an obstacle in the deadlines seemed to have made the Uruguayan forward back out.
Luis Suárez reached an agreement in wages and seasons in the contract. However, the period which will entail obtaining Italian nationality has made him reject this option of leaving FC Barcelona.
The still Barcelona striker will not get Italian nationality until at least 6th October, when the market and the registration period for the Champions League close.
As he can’t play as a non-Eu player, he would miss out on the first stage of the championship.
The continuity of Suárez at Barcelona seems, however, complicated, as Koeman has told him that he doesn’t want him, while the footballer wants to leave the Camp Nou in search of a new adventure.
The saga continues, as despite ruling out Juventus, he still has more options on the table. He has a year’s contract left at Barcelona and they hope to resolve this enclave as soon as possible to sign other players
