The English Premier League has finally returned after the pause to the fixtures due to the Coronavirus pandemic and here is how to watch the upcoming matches online.
English top flight football resumes on June 17 with all 92 remaining matches set to be played over 5 weeks. This means they’ll be at least one match played each day with four games set to be played on Saturday and Sunday.
The two headline fixtures of the opening week see Arsenal take on Man City at home on Premier League restart day (Wednesday, June 17) at 8.15pm BST, while Spurs’ home clash with Man United on Friday, June 19 at 8.15pm could have a big bearing on both team’s European football qualification hopes.
All matches are set to be played behind closed doors, while the number of substitutions available to teams has been increased from 3 to 5 in an effort to protect player welfare.
The broadcasts are available on iOS, Android phones and tablets, desktop web browsers, Apple TV (Gen 4), Roku, Amazon Fire TV, AndroidTV and Chromecast devices connected via HDMI via NBC’s dedicated app. VPNs are also a good way to connect and watch your favourite teams and players compete in the world’s most watched sports.
With no fans allowed in the grounds, the soccer matches of the remaining season will be broadcasted live, including for the first time 3pm kick-offs. The majority of the matches will be shown via the league’s three major broadcast partners in the UK: Sky, BT, and Amazon Prime.
The good news is you don’t necessarily need to be a subscriber to watch some of the games. Sky will be showing 25 of its 64 games it has live rights to on its free-to-air channel, Sky Pick, while Amazon has followed suit and revealed their four games will be free to watch on Prime.
