With all the soccer matches that went down over the weekend, here are soccer matches to consider in your parlay for this week. It’s safe to say the UEFA champions league and Europa would make good opportunities to win some cool cash. We do have some league games with potential from England and Italy for Monday as well and we will give you our considerations.
Monday Picks
Sheffield United V Arsenal
With Arsenal in third place and a chance to move 1 point behind Manchester city and 2 points behind Liverpool, Arteta’s men will be looking for all 3 points. Sheffield have had a very poor season and are dead last on the table. In their last 5 games they have only won 1 and that against 18th placed Luton. Many soccer fans do not see Sheffield United taking points from Arsenal and we also believe so too. The motivation to win and stay in the race for the premier league title will fuel Arsenal to try and take all 3 points. With no champions league match this week, we take them to win against Sheffield United. Head to Head stats show that Arsenal shave been dominant only drawing 1 in their last 5 meetings against Sheffield United. Their reverse fixture for the season saw Arsenal score 5 past Sheffield United at the Emirates. Arteta’s men were also able to put 11 goals against West Ham and Burnley. Both games were away games as well.

We don’t see Sheffield United stand a chance against this Arsenal side and believe this match to have at least 2 or more goals.
Inter Milan V Genoa
Inter Milan have to be the most in-form team for this season across the major soccer leagues. With 12 points clear after round 26, Simone Inzaghi’s men have only have only drawn 3 in their last 20 Serie A matches. The Nerazurri have won all their last 8 home games conceding 0 goals in 7 of those matches. An outstanding feat you’d say and we do believe that this may play out in their contest against Genoa. Historically, in their last travel to San Siro, Genoa didn’t score a goal. With the home form of Inter, many fans see the same situation to play out but….there are a lot of things to consider.
In their reverse fixture, Inter Milan drew against Genoa. In 2022, their previous meeting also ended in a draw. Inter Milan with a game in hand are topping the Serie A table with 12 points above Juventus who are in 2nd place. Genoa have drawn their last 3 away games. Napoli, Empoli & Bologna matches saw Genoa share points.
We believe Inter Milan can win this match but we may not see many goals. They are in a good position on the table and playing their best football. Alberto Gilardino’s men will put up a fight but Inzaghi’s men are fully capable of finishing them off.

Champions league Picks
Looking at the champions league, we are going to go straight for the games that can produce the best results. Wednesday champions league matches between Manchester city and Copenhagen / Real Madrid and RB Leipzig will be our main focus.
Real Madrid V Copenhagen
This should be a no brainer. Los Blancos won the 1st leg 3 – 1. The Spanish side may have drawn against Valencia over the weekend but remain in good form. That match had a lot of controversy. Madrid had come from 2 goals behind. The referee blew the final whistle just as Jude Bellingham had nodded a cross from Diaz into the net. Carlo Ancelotti’s men were upset with the decision to end the game and Jude Bellingham got red carded. This slip up should not deter the Spanish giants in their race for the UEFA champions league trophy.
RB Leipzig on the other hand beat Bochum 4 goals to 1. They are currently 5th placed with 1 point behind Borrussia Dortmund. That win could spur the Germans to push as they need to at least score 2 goals and it concede when they travel to Madrid. In their last 9 games, they’ve conceded in 7 games and since they already took 1 goal from Real Madrid in the 1st leg, we don’t see them not doing the same on Wednesday. Their last travel to Madrid saw them lose by 2 goals to nil.

Manchester City v Copenhagen
Pep Guardiola’s men have shown resolve and continue to prove why they are one of the best teams in Europe. Over the weekend, they turned things around as they usually do beating Manchester United by 3 goals to 1. They are currently 19 games unbeaten (17W, 2D). They have also won all 7 of their last champions league games. They have also scored 14 champions league goals at home without conceding. Surely this could not be any better night for football.
Copenhagen lost to Midtjylland over the weekend by 2 goals. They have only won 1 of their last 15 champions league away games. This trip to the Ethiad is indeed a strong test of character.
Manchester city have only drawn at home to Chelsea in their last 5 games. With the 1st leg already making this match easy, we see them win comfortably against their Danish visitors.

Manchester city 2 – 0 Copenhagen
Barcelona V Mallorca
FC Barcelona have been a hit and miss team for the most part of the season. Underperforming in matches that many would consider them favorites. It’s not just working as it should for them. Currently third in La Liga they face Mallorca, a side they draw 2-2 in the reverse fixture. Some soccer fans would suggest Xavi’s men are finding form again after an impressive with no losses in their last 7 games (4W,3D). In fact just before this run of good games, they were beaten by Villarreal 5 goals to 3 at home. That loss probably sparked a fire and many Les Cules fans pray it continues.
Over the weekend, they had to fight hard to draw against Atletico Bilbao. Friday’s match at home is certainly an opportunity to keep themselves in the title race even though Real Madrid are currently firm favorites. This is football, anything can happen.
Mallorca on the other hand defeated Girona. This match result was a surprise. Girona have had a bad form of late but lost to two really good teams, Real Madrid and Bilbao. This should build some confidence for Mallorca. They will believe they can come out with a draw when they face Barcelona. A
