Lautaro Martinez set to join Spanish giants Barcelona
Barcelona Lautaro Martinez transfer deal is almost complete as the Catalan giants have been heavily linked with a move for the forward. He has 11 goals in 22 Serie A appearances this season – with Lionel Messi keen to be reunited with his international teammate.
Argentinian sports newspaper Ole claim Barca are on the verge of landing their man, with Martinez set to become the most expensive Argentine player in history.
With reports on the Barcelona Lautaro Martinez transfer, Barca have agreed to pay up the 22-year-old’s €111million (£99.6m) release clause, though it will not be entirely in cash with Inter agreeing to take a player as part of that total value according to sports news.
The identity of that player is still unknown, however, with Arturo Vidal, Nelson Semedo and Ivan Rakitic all mooted as potential makeweights.
Martinez is eager to link up with Messi and move to Barca and personal terms will not be a problem, with just a few minor details needed to wrap up that end of the agreement
