The Man Utd Paul Pogba Swap deal debacle.
Pogba has failed to impress consistently since returning to United in 2016.And ex-Old Trafford ace Danny Higginbotham says Pogba has struggled to live up to the expectations placed upon him.
I think when he was signed he was signed as a box-to-box midfielder,” Higginbotham told ESPN FC on sports news
“But the problem is, box-to-box midfielders don’t exist now. He was supposed to do the defensive and the attacking side of things.
“To Pogba’s defence, when he joined the club he was probably told that he was going to be the first of many many world-class players coming through the door.
“That wasn’t to be the case, and I think Pogba’s become frustrated at times.
“I think Manchester United supporters’ biggest problem with Paul Pogba is that everyone knows what he’s capable of, it’s just getting that consistency.
“I’m hoping that when he gets back from injury and he’s playing alongside Bruno Fernandes, we’ll see a different Paul Pogba.
“I still believe he’s world class, but it’s very difficult for any player to run the show and drag the team when things aren’t going so well.”
Pogba and United’s stars are in isolation following the suspension of the Premier League due to the coronavirus pandemic.
However, the Premier League are aiming for games to return in June, meaning Pogba and co. could be back in training this month
