Mabel releases her new song titled Bad Behaviour. Available for download and streaming, the singer has also dropped the music video to the record. Bad Behaviour is a follow up to her hit single “Don’t Call Me Up.”
The new songs are from her forthcoming album high Expectations. Talking about the project, here is what the singer had to say:
“For me, the album was all about making sure all of the songs made people feel confident and good about themselves,” she recently told Dork. “I lacked a lot of confidence growing up, and the message I wanted to put across is if you ever felt like you weren’t enough, then you are. By the end of the album I’d pieced myself back together, and I was feeling more confident than I ever had, and it was important to me that people listening feel that about themselves as well.”
In addition to the new song, Mabel also announced her High Expectations headlining tour, which kicks off at The Sinclair in Cambridge, Mass., on Aug. 12 and wraps up at LA’s Troubadour on Aug. 20.
“I wrote ‘Bad Behaviour’ after a night out when somebody had been like ‘you’re acting crazy, you need to tone it out a bit,'” Mabel laughed when she sat down with Beats 1 host Zane Lowe, who made the song his World Record. “And you know when you sort of have that feeling and you’re like, ‘Oh my God, no, am I being too crazy?’ And then woke up the next day and was like, ‘I wasn’t, I was just having a good time!'”
