Jonas Blue has released a new song titled I Wanna Dance. Available for download and streaming, Jonas Blue wants to focus on releasing singles rather than albums and the new music he has been writing is influenced by “favela funk”.
The 29-year-old DJ dropped his debut album ‘Blue’ last November but he’s in no hurry to bring out a follow-up LP and instead wants to treat his fans to a steady stream of fresh tracks.
Since his reboot of Tracy Chapman’s Fast Car exploded worldwide in 2016, Jonas Blue has proved a musician with a Midas touch. Four further consecutive hits, all originals, two of them Top 5 singles in the UK, have sealed his position as Britain’s brightest new artist and one of pop’s most in-demand producers.
His spectacular success has come in part from his talent for spotting rising stars – RAYE on By Your Side, Dakota on Fast Car, JP Cooper on the platinum-selling Perfect Strangers, William Singe on Mama, Moelogo on We Could Go Back and his latest smash Rise with Jack & Jack. Having helmed Craig David’s 2017 hit Heartline, Jonas Blue now splits his time between producing his own material and penning hits for other artists.
