Sam Smith teams with Fifth Harmony’s Normani for the sultry new single “Dancing With a Stranger,” which the duo released digitally Friday.
“Dancing With a Stranger” is the result of a chance meeting between Smith and Normani: Smith was writing new music at a Los Angeles studio while Normani recorded in the studio next door. The two singers professed to be fans of each other’s work before Smith recruited Normani for the single.

I don’t want to be alone tonight/It’s pretty clear that I’m not over you/I’m still thinking ‘bout the things you do/So I don’t want to be alone tonight,” Smith sings on the track. “Can you light the fire/I need somebody who can take control/I know exactly what I need to do/Cos I don’t want to be alone tonight.”
