The track marks the climax of his new EP. Everything builds to “Better” as it has become a central component to the work. A video for the song only makes sense. In the clip, cars race around (and sometimes go through) the vocalist as he vibes out in the middle of an empty lot. You can tell that he’s feeling himself as he pulls out some dance moves along the way. Of course, Khalid is nowhere near Chris Brown’s level as a dancer but he’s just having some fun out here.
With American Teen, Khalid burst onto the scene in a major way. Nobody was checking for him before the album dropped but he managed to change everybody’s mind, creating Khalid fans out of us all.
