Keith Sweat dropped a new album on October 26, solidifying his status as one of the most prolific artists in R&B. His latest effort Playing For Keeps is steeped in the grown and sexy vibes Sweat is known and love for, while it also takes cues from contemporary stylings.
The album’s very first song is a testament to this hybrid as the music veteran calls upon a virtually unknown rapper to lay down a verse. “Eenie Meenie Miney Mo” takes a step back from righteous maturity in terms of content, engaging listeners with a hooky chorus and bopping rhythm in its phrasing.
Playing For Keeps also includes features by Candance Owens, Akon, Teddy Riley, and Tank.
