Left Brain drops new song “Beatin Down The Block” ft. L Dog.
Citing “Beatin Down The Block” as part of the Mind Gone series, Left Brain teases the second installment, which is set to feature appearances from Larry June, Smoke DZA, Jay Worthy, Dash, and of course, Hodgy. As for the song itself, Left Brain goes to work over a eerie, chime-laden instrumental, which features a decidedly film-noir-esque chord progression.
“Because we got the freedom and independence to do whatever we want to do,” he explains. “We doing this shit on our own. Put this shit together all ourselves, so we’re just putting it out there for the kids. If we could put some shit out, they can too.”
