Wifisfuneral is back with his new album, Ethernet Vol. 1.
Wifisfuneral announced the release date for his upcoming project Ethernet, or as it turns out, part 1 of 4. After teasing a new project over the last little while, the South Florida-based rapper has announced that Ethernet Vol. 1 will arrive on May 25th.
When asked by a fan if this was part 1 of 2, he revealed there would be four volumes to the series. As far as when the sequels will be released, it’s anyone’s guess.
Just yesterday, Wifisfuneral released “Juveniles,” a collaboration with YBN Nahmir that is expected to appear on the new project. The song nodded to early Cash Money with references to Juvie’s “Back That Azz Up.”
It’s one of a few more recent tracks that finds the rapper experimenting with some new styles, which we should hear more of on the upcoming material. It is unclear if Ethernet Vol. 1 will be a full-length release or an EP.
Earlier this month, Wifisfuneral teamed up with Jay Critch on “Knots.” You can watch the video for the collaboration here.
Wifisfuneral signed a deal with Alamo/Interscope last March. He’s released two projects since then: August’s solo tape Boy Who Cried Wolf and the collaborative EP with Cris Dinero Last Time Doing Drugs, released in January.
