Sean Combs has gone through many name changes over the course of his career, but he hasn’t settled on a title just yet. On his 48th birthday, the rapper and business mogul formerly known as Diddy announced yet another name change.
I decided to change my name again!
My new name is LOVE aka Brother Love.

“I have some very serious, serious news. I’ve been praying on this. I decided that–I know it’s risky and I know it’s corny to some people–but I decided to change my name again,” he said in a video posted to Twitter. “I’m just not who I am before. I’m something different. So my new name is LOVE aka Brother Love. I will not be answering to Puffy, Diddy, Puff Daddy or any of my other monikers but LOVE or Brother Love.”
Sean “Diddy” Combs has topped Forbes’ list of the five richest rappers in the world for a seventh year in a row.
The 47-year-old is worth an estimated $820 million thanks to his investments and lucrative deals with Diageo’s Ciroc, TV network Revolt, alkaline water brand Aquahydrate, and tequila firm DeLeon.
So far, Combs has yet to change his screen name or handle from Diddy on Twitter.
