The English Premier League new season began with a very thrilling game. Arsenal and Leicester city gave soccer lovers a new season gift of goals and excitement.
Long story short Arsenal won the game On a night the Premier League broke from the traps like a greyhound whose tail is on fire, some inspired substitutions and a huge slice of luck rescued Arsenal from yet another opening day defeat. That was a fantastic game of football.
There remain a number of question marks around Arsenal’s makeup for the new season. Have they seen the last of Alexis Sánchez? When will they be able to field their first-choice defence? But it still appears to be a more stable environment than the one in which they began last season.
They lost, crucially as it turned out, to Liverpool on the opening day; Arsène Wenger knows a fast start is important this time around to make the idea of a new beginning more sellable and he will be buoyed by aspects of the Community Shield performance against Chelsea.
New boy Lacazette opened the scoring with a fine header before Okazaki lunged in the air to win a header that landed in behind Cech. Vardy gave the away team the lead and Danny Welbeck tapped in the leveler.
Bad defending from a set piece saw Vardy once again give Leicester City the lead before an obvious hand ball from Ozil lead to a cross into the box which Ramsey slotted home in close range. 3-3 it stood before Super Sub Giroud scored the final goal of the game to put Arsenal in the lead once again.
Leicester would have loved a win or a draw from this game but going home without a point is a bad way to start. In the end good game from the foxes.
