G-Eazy is coming for the charts!
Calm Down,” the latest single from G-Eazy’s album When It’s Dark Out, has topped the Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 real-time chart following the release of its music video Tuesday (Aug. 23).
The Trending 140 measures the acceleration of conversation around artists and their music on Twitter.
The song’s music video premiered on YouTube early Tuesday and had drawn more than 100,000 views by noon ET.
When It’s Dark Out, G-Eazy’s third studio album, debuted and peaked at Nos. 1 and 5 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Billboard 200 charts (dated Dec. 26), with 103,000 copies sold and 132,000 equivalent album units earned in its first week, respectively, according to Nielsen Music. Lead single “Me, Myself & I,” with Bebe Rexha, spent nine weeks at No. 1 on Hot Rap Songs and peaked at No. 2 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songsand No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100
Concurrent with its parent album’s debut, “Calm Down” spent a week on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs (Dec. 26), at No. 41.
