Napoleon Da Legend and DJ Doom drop off a new project titled Path Of The Warrior. The body of work is a combination of SP1200 boom bap backdrops, sample chops with thumping kicks, and sharp snares.
Napoleon is definitely carving his own lane vocally and lyrically. If I had to compare his style and voice to any other emcees, I would say he’s a toss-up between Guru of Gangstarr (RIP), AZ of The Firm with a dash of Raekwon of Wu-Tang.
The album features General Steele of Smif-n-Wessun, DJ Eclipse, Q-Unique of The Arsonists, Blacastan, and DJ Modesty.
