Manchester United Sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

UPDATE!!

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been sacked as Manchester United manager.

Manchester United expected to sack manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer following 4-1 loss to Watford.

An emergency meeting was held with The Sun reporting that Man Utd officials are intent on sacking Solskjaer.

The Norwegian is expected to receive a severance payment of £7.5m after only signing a new contract this past summer.

Mauricio Pochettino has admirers at Old Trafford, but Rodgers remains their top target

The Times claim club owners, the Glazers, have ordered an improved attempt to lure ex-Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane to Old Trafford.

Zidane has reservations over moving to England midway through the season after leaving Real at the end of last season.

But United are set to intensify their bid to recruit the 49-year-old as Solskjaer’s replacement in the coming days.

The three-time Champions League-winning manager could be tempted by an increased financial package but would leave United panicking if he rejects a deal again as the fixtures keep coming.

The United board had been hoping to part ways with Solskjaer at the end of the season, but the need to find a new head coach is becoming clearer by the week.
