They have announced a Greatest Hits tour of the UK and Ireland for 2022. Tickets go on general sale at 9.30am on Friday 3 September.
The announcement comes as the band unveiled their new single ‘I Want It All’, a propulsive power-pop ballad about the band member’s wives, and announced Tales From The Script: Greatest Hits, a compilation of the some of their best songs.
Singer Danny O’Donoghue says, ‘The Tales From The Script album is a springboard to our next chapter, but it’s also our story so far. We’re so excited to be taking it on the road. I know I’m gonna lose it on stage, night after night.’
The ‘Hall Of Fame’ singers have been teasing shows all week, writing to fans, ‘Thank you so much for all the continued support. It’s been a tough few months… but hopefully we’ll be seeing each other soon!’
The Script are an Irish rock band formed in 2007 in Dublin, Ireland. They first released music in 2008. The band consists of lead vocalist and keyboardist Daniel O’Donoghue, lead guitarist Mark Sheehan, and drummer Glen Power.
Formed in 2007, the band have gone on to release six successful albums, including Science & Faith, which reached number three in the US charts. They’ve sold 20 million albums worldwide, with their fist-pumping rock earning them comparisons to fellow Irish rockers U2.
