The new single comes as the band’s first new material since 2020’s ‘Father Of All Motherfuckers‘ and frontman Billie Joe Armstrong’s recent solo covers record ‘No Fun Mondays‘.

The new track premiered within a highlight reel of the top plays of the first quarter of the 2020-21 NHL season. As it turns out, Green Day’s music will actually be featured through the rest of the NHL 2021 season as part of a two-year deal.

Along with the release of “Here Comes The Shock,” Green Day are gearing up for their rescheduled Hella Mega Tour with Fall Out Boy and Weezer. Last month, Rivers Cuomo revealed that Weezer are still preparing for the tour which kicks off on June 9 in Austria.
