Dani Dyer has explained how she chose her son’s name.
The Love Island winner announced she’d named her little one Santiago last week and has now revealed that she took inspiration from her mum Jo’s Spanish heritage.
Dani was answering questions about life as a new mum on Instagram when one fan asked, “What made you decide on the name Santiago? It’s such a lovely name by the way .”
She replied, “My mum is half Spanish and she said the name to me a few times.
“Then I see it on a programme and fell in love with it . Love that it’s unusual and really doesn’t bother me when people say they don’t like it xx.”
When another fan wrote, “My baby is Santiago too, born in September! Sending love ,” Dani added, “This name is actually a lot more common than people think. I’ve had a few people message and say their babies are called Santiago .”
