On “Famous,” Octavian maneuvers through the negative aspects of his ever-growing fame and looks to Gunna and SAINt JHN to help paint that picture following their respective meteoric rises to superstardom.
In a statement, Octavian explained, “The concept of ‘Fame’ should be connected to the celebration of one’s achievements; unfortunately, nowadays it is the glamorisation of unthought-about entertainment.”
In HYPEBEAST’s “Octavian Wants to Take Over the World” feature from June 2019, Octavian hinted at his plans for the coming year.
“I’m going to be the biggest in the world, but to get there, I have to go to America.” After planning on a move to Los Angeles, his debut album was pushed back from February to an unspecified time due to the coronavirus quarantines. He did continue to say, “I’m keeping it under wraps. I’m going to go to LA and make a big, great album and then come back and prove to my own city that you’re allowed to be different.”
Octavian has released two mixtapes: SPACEMAN and Endorphins.
