Samuel L Jackson And Ryan Reynolds’ Futha Mucka New Animated Series coming soon. The pair previously acted together in the 2017 comedy-thriller The Hitman’s Bodyguard, will also executive produce the series.
Per Deadline, the show’s description reads: “Samuel L Jackson and Ryan Reynolds love each other. More accurately, Ryan loves Sam.
“When a minor mishap causes Sam to become Ryan’s primary caregiver, things get weird.”
Futha Mucka will be created by brothers Jim and Brian Kehoe, who helmed the acclaimed 2018 teen comedy Blockers. The series will debut on streaming service Quibi.
Quibi, which was launched earlier this year and describes its content as “movie-quality shows designed for your phone”, has struggled to snare subscribers, despite a roster of short-form series featuring high-profile celebrity stars.
The new series’ title is likely a nod to Jackson and Reynolds’ reputations for using bad language in films.
Reynolds’ most famous role, of Wade Wilson in the Marvel blockbuster Deadpool, saw the actor constantly break the fourth wall with a stream of adult-appropriate profanities.
Earlier this year, Jackson was listed as the third most foul-mouthed actor in Hollywood, according to a new study.
