Cody Simpson shares his new single called “golden thing.” Available for download and streaming, Simpson’s new song is inspired by his budding romance with Miley Cyrus. The Aussie singer/songwriter serenaded Miley with the song while she was recovering from tonsillitis surgery and the pop star insisted that he release it.

“She was like, ‘If you don’t put this shit out, I’m putting it out on your behalf for you. I’m getting your Spotify login and doing this shit myself,’” Cody told People magazine
