James Blake shared the third music video for his 2019 LP, Assume Form titled Can’t Believe The Way We Flow. The video, directed and edited by Frank Lebon, rapidly shuffles between shots of various couples, showing all the little moments that make up their relationships.
Lebon also fills the clip with more random touches, including moments of what appears to be bird shit falling on people — including Blake, who sheepishly sings the track on a city bench. In contrast, the visual centerpiece is a stunning kiss compiled from shots of the couples’ faces inching closer in almost slow-motion. The video’s forward momentum is fueled by Blake’s brilliant sampling of The Manhattan’s “Feels So Good To Be Loved So Bad.” The whole video is simply a big love affair.
James Blake will continue to promote the album on a fall U.S. tour that launches September 1st in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and wraps October 12th at the Austin City Limits Festival.
