DaBaby links up with Nicki Minaj on Suge (Remix). Nicki premiered the track during her Queen Radio takeover of Los Angeles’ Power 106 station. Minaj told DJ Carisma that she wanted to premiere her remix to DaBaby’s hit single “Suge” from his chart-topping record, Baby on Baby. She spit a few bars on the track but made sure to honor the original version by keeping a bulk of DaBaby’s raps on the track.
Nicki also explained why she canceled her scheduled Jeddah World Fest performance in Saudi Arabia because of the backlash she received human rights organizations.
“After careful reflection, I have decided to no longer move forward with my scheduled concert at Jeddah World Fest,” Nicki said in a statement explaining the cancelation. “While I want nothing more than to bring my show to fans in Saudi Arabia, after better educating myself on the issues, I believe it is important for me to make clear my support for the rights of women, the LGBTQ community and freedom of expression.”
Talking about her forthcoming album, she had this to say:
“I have two ideas but I’m thinking of going back to ‘pink’ for old times sake,” she said, referencing her former album titles Pink Print and Pink Friday.
I’m cooking up in the kitchen
You could be my little helper
Go to the table and ask ’em
Do they want the flat or the seltzer?
I go where I want I’m good
My niggas’ll get them goods
So come off the chain and come off the watch
You gotta respect the jux
Queen sleazy era
And they never see me ever
‘Cause I send my shooters and they introduce us
As soon as I pull the lever (Brr)
I say “Choke me,” he do it
Every time that we do it
Nigga packing like Hewlett
I told him “damn nigga, you lit”
On that D going stupid
Got my ass-shots from Cupid
You could just ask Ken
He be like: “Hadouken!” (Rrrh)
