While his other offering found him hopping on the Blueface wave, this one finds him exploring an original sound, tapping TrackSmith for the instrumental. Lyrically, Desiigner doesn’t appear to be pushing any new boundaries, though he certainly remains capable at dropping off melodies.
Overall, it’s unlikely that “Earned iiT” will win over any new fans, but for those keeping score, let’s call this one a step in the right direction. Desiigner’s “comeback tour” appears to be well underway. In any case, that didn’t stop Desiigner from doubling down on his recent “Thotiana Remix,” which signals his energy toward Mr. West has yet to alter.
