Tinashe returns with her new single titled Link Up.” Tinashe recently celebrated her 26th years birthday. Tinashe delivered a super performance at Alumni Hall Thursday night.The concert, put on by the Student Programming Association, began an hour later than expected. But judging by the reactions of her small but energetic audience, it was well worth the wait.
Performing just one day after her twenty-sixth birthday and for the first time in 2019, Tinashe energized the crowd with her powerful voice and mesmerizing dance moves. Her setlist included songs such as “2 On” and “All Hands on Deck” from her debut studio album “Aquarius,” in addition to newer tracks like “Me So Bad” and “Faded Love” from the album “Joyride.”
Another fan favorite, “All My Friends,” had the Alumni Hall floor shaking. This anthem, which features Snakeships and Chance the Rapper, skyrocketed to the top of the charts when it was released in 2015.
American singer, songwriter, record producer and actress, Tinashe Jorgensen Kachingwe, known mononymously as Tinashe, dropped the new record as she is preparing for her forthcoming album.
Born in Lexington, Kentucky, Tinashe moved to Los Angeles as a child to pursue a career in entertainment. Her notable roles included as a motion-capture model in the animated film The Polar Express (2004) and recurring roles in Out of Jimmy’s Head (2007–2008) and Two and a Half Men (2008–2009).
