Big Twins – Grimey Life album download.
Big Twins are here with their new album, Grimey Life. In anticipation of his new album ‘Grimey Life,‘ Big Twins has released two new singles – Prodigy’s last verse on the track ‘Loyalty Over Love’ recorded in June of 2017 just weeks before the legend’s passing and ‘Memories’ featuring Havoc.
At the end of his verse, Prodigy spits a few lines that are eerily prophetic.
“I shine more bright than the sun and moon, sparkle than a diamond/I ain’t scared of no shit/Everybody gotta go at some point/Let a nigga rap, let us enjoy.”
Prodigy, formally known as Albert Johnson, had suffered from the disease sickle cell anemia since he was diagnosed at three months old, his visit to the hospital stemming from complications of the illness following a Mobb Deep performance at the 2017 Art Of Rap Festival with fellow artists Ghostface Killah, KRS-One, Big Daddy Kane, and Raekwon, was unexpected.
Infamous Mobb, a group closely affiliated with the Mobb Deep duo in the height of the 1990’s and early 2000’s recorded plenty of prominent contributions. The 2002 release of ‘Special Edition’ is an album I hold near and dear to my heart with stand-out favorites like ‘Killa Queens’ and ‘Special Edition.’ Pure, unadulterated New York rap. Verse for verse, Big Twins, Ty Nitty, Big Noyd, Godfather Pt. III, Hav, and P go toe to toe over the Alchemist produced gritty beats.
