Funk Flex had some legendary New York rappers as guest on his Hot97 show. Dave East and Styles P blessed Hot97 and Flex with a freestyle while on a promo run for their joint project “Beloved”. During his freestyle part Dave East dropped a bar about Nicki Minaj that caught the whole world’s attention “Nicki tried to holla but I’m just tryna make my album.”

Dave’s line comes on the heels of Quavo insinuating a potential fling with Nicki Minaj. Do you think it was just a clever line or something more?
