For a while, we’ve been waiting to hear more of Takeoff. He’s shown so much potential as part of the Migos but we’ve wanted him to get his much-deserved shine for a minute. When it was announced that each member of the trio would be exploring their vibes with solo projects, most hip-hop fans were excited to hear what Takeoff would come up with. Finally, we get the first taste of what his solo album will sound like as he’s released the brand new single “Last Memory.”
The Last Rocket is expected to release on November 2 and so far, it’s still wrapped in secrecy. The tracklist and features are still unknown and as we wait, we get to hear the first offering from the album with “Last Memory.” The song released last night out of nowhere with Take announcing on his Instagram that it would be out at midnight. He explores a few different vibes over a high-frequency loop, taking off to space and playing on his artist name.
The Migos have had an amazing year so far with the release of Culture II early in the year, plenty of features and the recent Quavo Huncho. Now, we wait for the Takeoff album to arrive next week and the subsequent project from Offset.
