When Kodak Black met up in the studio with Travis Scott last month, their session gave birth to one of the best memes from September. For some reason, Kodak’s dance moves while in the studio were simply hypnotizing and we couldn’t keep our eyes away from the countless reimagined versions of the meme. We’re also just really excited that Kodak is out of jail and staying out of trouble for the time being. We’ve all been waiting for some news regarding his upcoming album or any accompanying singles and it looks like we’ll get the follow-up to “If I’m Lying I’m Flying” this week.
During a recent performance, Project Baby (or Suburban Dude?) danced along to the instrumental of the moment, choosing not to rap his verses. The unreleased track has gathered a lot of steam, especially considering it seems to have come from a studio session with Travis Scott. La Flame’s direct contribution is currently unknown – perhaps he’ll be featured, or maybe he was just jamming out alongside the Florida rapper – but we’re stoked to find out some more. After the beat finished playing, Kodak told the crowd that the full version would be released this week, aiming for a Friday drop.
This song’s rollout has been pretty crazy so far as a standalone single hasn’t had this much hype in a while. Hopefully, it lives up to all the anticipation.
