Listen and Download Ebenezer – 53 Days.
Ebenezer drops off a new single titled 53 Days. The song comes as a follow-up to Ebenezer’s recent “When I Call Em” featuring A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, which came out in May. On his new song, “53 Sundays,” he pleads “pass the collection plate, I’m tryin to make it to heaven.”
The UK rapper doesn’t seem to feel all that bad about his sins. He says it’s all good to “blow smoke, snort coke” and even “bring a weapon/as long as you go to church in the morning.” The song ends up being more of a religious ode to the life enshrined in most rap music than it is an atoning for any sins: his “mama still prays” for him anyway. The organs cut out during the verses to make way for a Blood Orange-esque, percussion-only beat, over which Ebenezer raps in a chill, sing-song flow.
