With “Unforgettable” and “A Lie” videos hitting the airwaves, French Montana heads to New York to honor his late friend and frequent collaborator in “Whiskey Eyes” off Jungle Rules album
Directed by Majik Films, the visual finds French rapping about his fallen comrade in a room full of candles. Backed by Chinx’s son, Drake, and several others, he mourns. “My ni**a Chinx son became my own son,” he raps. “The block where I’m from, you need your own gun.”
Throughout the video, a painter creates a dramatic black, white, and grey rendition of Chinx, topped off with red spray paint. For the visual’s finale, French sits next to the finished painting with Chinx’s son.
The video shoot reportedly took place on Chinx’s son’s birthday and he was able to celebrate with cake, cupcakes, and a stack of cash from “Uncle Drake.”
