Chelsea were the dominant force in the first-half but it really could have gone either way in the second 45 minutes as both teams attacked with determination and no little skill.
Diego Costa broke the deadlock as he ball is whipped in and Fabianski failed to command his area as Fernandez’s weak header lands at the feet of Oscar, whose control and pass across the edge of the box to Costa is sublime and the Brazilian fires into the bottom-right corner
Sigurdsson broke through onto a ball over the top and, just inside the box, Courtois, running out from his line, slides in and brings the Icelander down. The ball was going away from goal so Courtois gets just a yellow but is unable to save the spot-kick as Sigurdsson fires the ball into the back of the net

Terry played the ball across the back to Cahill, who dawdles on the ball, and the onrushing Fer steals possession and has a clear run on goal. He bears down on Courtois and just about manages to slip the ball through the keeper’s legs… the ball bobbling over the line.

Replays suggested Cahill may have been fouled. But the goal stands
And Chelsea equaliser came as Ivanovic shot, was blocked by Fabianski and the ball pings in the air across goal where Costa is lurking and the Spaniard tees himself up before producing an overhead kick straight into the back of the net.

Actually, it may have taken a slight defelection off Fernandez, but he’s certainly claiming it… and you can’t blame him. Brilliant! His second of the match
