Creating this album has been therapy for me,” he says in a statement. “I’ve learned to let go of trying to control people’s perception of who I am, what I can do, and where I will be. I’ve realized the only opinion of me that really matters is my own.”

Montero will, of course, contain the hit single “Montero (Call Me by Your Name),” which blasted to No. 1 on the Billboard 100 in April, his second leader after “Old Town Road” ruled for a record 19 week in 2019.
