The Weeknd to Perform 'After Hours' Concert on TikTok

The Weeknd’s ‘After Hours’ TikTok Concert is finally in view. The social media platform that has become the go-to for many music acts has announced its first-ever cross-reality experience featuring The Weeknd. Scheduled for Aug. 7, TikTok presents The Weeknd Experience is set to be an immersive virtual event on TikTok LIVE stream via the official TikTok account.

Fans will have the opportunity to interact with the “In Your Eyes” singer as he takes them through an After Hours journey. The at-home experience will see The Weeknd performing hits from his No. 1 album After Hours, including “Blinding Lights” which inspired over 1.5 million video creations on TikTok and racked up tens of millions of views and birthing the “#BlindingLightsChallenge.”

The Weeknd Experience will raise funds for the Equal Justice Initiative. TikTok will match funds raised up to a generous amount. The Equal Justice Initiative is committed to ending mass incarceration and excessive punishment in the United States, to challenging racial and economic injustice, and to protecting basic human rights for the most vulnerable people in American society. Fans can donate directly from the TikTok app.

Additionally, fans can support by purchasing exclusive merch inspired by The Weeknd Experience, with proceeds donated to Equal Justice Initiative. TikTok will match those proceeds with a donation of their own. The new merch capsule release will only be available from Aug. 6-10.
