“This week, Brian Lee and I produced a Blink song and recorded it,” he told the outlet. “We actually have a song called ‘Quarantine’ that will be out in the next two weeks.”
Barker added that he is “really excited” about the new single.

“We’re already working on potential quarantine music while we’re all on lockdown,” Alex said. “[Mark]’s in Idaho – he escaped while he still could – and I’m stuck home in Maryland, so we won’t be doing it in person but we’re sending ideas back and forth and we’re always talking about what the next steps are for Simple Creatures. It’s in the works.”

Mark also recently confirmed that blink’s 2019 collaborations EP with rappers Lil Uzi Vert and Pharrell is still happening

Earlier this month, former Blink frontman Tom DeLonge – who quit the group in 2015 – said he expected to return once he and his former bandmates can “figure out the timing”.

“You know, I talk to Mark and Travis [Barker] every so often. I just talked to Mark the other day, and I talk to Travis about every week or two. And you know, I was feeling a little sentimental, but there’s no hidden message there or anything.”

The collective teased that they would “release this song Friday” if their Instagram post got “100 likes.”

With a staggering 115,000 likes amassed, Blink-182 kept their promise, and the new lockdown tune ‘Quarantine’ is here. The song, first announced on Wednesday via the band’s Twitter, arrives less than a year after the release of their most recent LP, Nine.

“Quarantine” is a return to form of sorts for the trio after spending much of the Matt Skiba era partnering with artists outside of their usual genre (Lil Wayne, Steve Aoki, the Chainsmokers) and making time for their various other projects.

Well, as it continued to collect likes, many wondered if the band would be keeping their promise of finally dropping the new tune.

The last time we heard a song from Blink was on Darkside released back in 2019 so music fans would be happy to get Blink-182 – Quarantine download.
