Rapper Pop Smoke has been murdered
Pop Smoke was shot and killed in an apparent home invasion in the early hours of the morning. He was purportedly staying in a home in Hollywood Hills, Calif. when two men in hoodies and masks broke in at around 4:30 a.m.
According to TMZ, the incident occurred at a home in Hollywood Hills, Ca. and appears to be the result of an attempted home invasion. According to law enforcement, two men wearing ski masks broke into the home.
During the break-in, multiple shots were fired in the home, with Smoke reportedly being struck and killed. Afterward, the men fled the scene. The rapper was transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. The incident is currently under investigation.
At press time, the suspects reportedly haven’t been captured. Police placed one man in custody but he was reportedly released after they determined he was not involved. It’s also not clear whether or not the rapper knew the alleged shooters.
