Summer Walker returns with a new song tagged Playing Games. This new cut from her forthcoming debut album OVER IT. First announced last week, OVER IT will be released some time this year via LVRN and Interscope Records and is the follow-up to her January four-track CLEAR as well as last year’s Last Day of Summer.
Summer Walker’s latest track dives into the struggles of love and relationships, with her aptly purring “all I ever asked was you to pick up the phone when you alone, all I ever asked was you to show me some love, kisses and hugs.”
After establishing herself as a mainstream artist last year with the release of her breakthrough musical debut, Last Day of Summer (2018), Summer Walker instantaneously became a dominating presence in today’s current R&B scene. Her warm vocal cadence and instrumental inclinations are comparable to that of some of the greatest R&B and soul artist of generations passed.
