Kim Petras has to be one of the hardest working music acts of 2019. “I Don’t Want It At All” is the debut single from German singer and is about craving material things and being unashamed to admit it. The music video for the song is inspired by the “Princess and the Pea” story and features Petras with several shopping bags walking down the street and a cameo from Paris Hilton.
“I was really into really funky 80’s vibes at the moment. I was listening to a lot of ABC and just a lot of funk records from the ‘80s, and we just came up with a riff. Then we wrote that chorus and finished the melodies. We were just like, ‘Okay, let’s go all in and just make it a total sugar-baby anthem.’ That’s what we ended up doing. We were just like, ‘The brattiest lines ever are like the lines we need to find.'” – Kim Petras
Somewhere between 90’s American pop and 80’s European disco, rises the undeniable voice of Kim Petras. Nodding to influences as diverse as Britney Spears, Baltimora, and the “Brat Pack,” the “side bun” sporting German-born and Los Angeles-based songstress powers up a new pop paradigm, sharing intimate lovelorn storylines over explosive production. Kim has released music with Charli XCX, lil Aaron, Jay Park, Cheat Codes, Justin Caruso, Steve Aoki, SOPHIE, Baby E and supported Troye Sivan on his 2018 Bloom tour.
If you wanna get down tonight
You better hook it up at the place I like
Better make it fit like the perfect size
Aw yeah, aw yeah
And if you give me everything I want
You go from none to number one
Yeah, you’re so cute, yeah, you’re so fun
Aw yeah, aw yeah
