August Burns Red – Phantom Sessions (New EP)
August Burns Red release a new EP titled Phantom Sessions. The EP features a reprise of “Coordinates” and the midi version of “The Frost,” both songs originally appeared on “Phantom Anthem,” as well as “Laniakea,” which appeared as a bonus track on the 7-inch vinyl collectors set of “Phantom Anthem.”
The EP is rounded out by a tracks “Midnight” and “Etching” and a cover of music from “The Legend of Zelda.”
In October of 2017, Lancaster, Pennsylvania-born metal band August Burns Red released “Phantom Anthem,” its eighth studio album. The album peaked at number 19 on the Billboard 200 and its lead single “Invisible Enemy” was nominated for the Best Metal Performance Grammy.
Just over a year later, in November of 2018, August Burns Red, which headlines the Knitting Factory on Friday, released the “Winter Wilderness” EP. The EP features four covers – “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” “Home Alone Theme,” “What Child Is This? (Greensleeves)” and “Last Christmas” – and two originals, the title track and “Avalanche.”
