See “Stranger Things” Season Three Trailer & Announces Premiere Date
Season three of Netflix’s Stranger Things the trailer and official premiere date is finally here. The third installment arrives on July 4th, 2019 and the trailer below shows an interrupted “live” footage of Dick Clark’s 1985 Rockin’ New Year’s Eve special.
The broadcast is interrupted by static and coding that reads “Run Program: SilverCatFeeds.exe.” The season’s tagline reads that “one summer can change everything,” and the streamer warns that “something strange arrives in Hawkins, summer 1985.”
David Harbour, who plays Jim Hopper in the series, previously discussed how the new season will draw inspiration from Chevy Chase’s 1985 comedy Fletch.
“The Duffers are so specific each year with the movies,” he said. “And Fletch is one movie we get to play around and have some fun with this season, which you wouldn’t expect from Stranger Things and you wouldn’t expect from the Spielberg universe and you certainly wouldn’t expect from a darker season.”
Fletch follows a journalist (Chevy) who gets in over his head when he stumbles upon a murder case. A journalist, played by Jake Busey, will be making his debut in the new season of Stranger Things.
